Japan’s F-gas policy and current status of measures to curb greenhouse gas emissions and to enhance energy efficiency products in RACHP sector

 

In this side event, latest development of Japan’s legislation and activities of MOE (Ministry of the Environment) and METI (Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry) was presented. Following MOE’s presentation, JRAIA (The Japan Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Industry Association) provided latest activities for transition to low-GWP refrigerants with energy saving products. In addition, NEDO (New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization) introduced current R&D projects for low-GWP refrigerants.
