MARVEX 2025, the Malaysian Exhibition, was held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre in Malaysia from September 9th to 12th, 2025.  JRAIA participated in a panel discussion at the MARVEX Forum, which was held in conjunction with the exhibition, and we are pleased to report the event.

  5. MARVEX 2025 Overview

This is a symposium jointly held every year by MACRA (Malaysian Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Manufacturers Association) and IEM (Institute of Engineering Malaysia) in conjunction with an exhibition, and this year marks its fourth time.


・Total exhibition area: 8,500m2 (approximately 35% of which was
　IEM exhibits)
・Exhibitors: 250 companies and organizations (same as above)

・Visitors: 14,100 (surpass original target of 13,800 people)

　For reference, HVAC＆R Japan 2024 at Tokyo Big Sight: 17,000m2, 151
   exhibitors, 33,500 visitors

The exhibits were relatively compact, with almost no large-scale equipment exhibits, perhaps due to the narrow width of each booth. 　In addition to equipment exhibits from overseas, mainly from Japan, China, and Korea, there were also notable exhibits from Chinese parts manufacturers.  While refrigerant conversion was only promoted in some areas, there were also exhibits showcasing examples of refrigerant recovery and reclamation efforts.

The opening ceremony was held on a grand scale, with the Deputy Prime Minister (who also serves as Minister for Energy Transition) in attendance. 


  1. MARVEX Forum (1st ASEAN-China-Japan-Korea-US Panel Discussion )

It was held as part of the symposium at a special booth in the exhibition hall, and Mr. Hatano from International Affairs Department of JRAIA participated as a panelist.

Participants: Stephen Yurek (AHRI, Chair), Zhibo Chen (CRAA, MIDEA), Chritine Kim (KRAIA), Hatano (JRAIA), Peter Tan (MACRA), Worewan Wanwil (Thai Embassy)


Led by Mr. Stephen Yurek from AHRI , the session was conducted by seeking the latest trends and opinions on topics specific to each country. Although the theme was "Smart Buildings and Standardization of AI/IoT," the focus for Japan was on improving efficiency.  Mr. Hatano explained about the latest trends and challenges of Japan’s Top Runner Program in Energy Conservation Act, as well as our industry's initiatives.
