ICARHMA 2026 Working Meeting was held in Las Vegas U.S.A.

On 1st February 2026, JRAIA participated in the 2026 Working Group Meeting of ICARHMA (The International Council of Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Heating Manufacturers Associations), an international council of eleven global RACHP industry associations held in Las Vegas, U.S.A.

This meeting is held once a year on a rotating basis by member associations to discuss positions and responses to global industry-related activities, with a focus on global environmental issues. AHRI, US’s industry association hosted face to face meeting. 18 participants from 9 associations attended the meeting in person. ABRAVA(Brazil), ACAIRE (Colombia), AHRI(USA), AREMA(Australia), CRAA (China), Eurovent (Europe), HRAI(Canada), KRAIA(Korea), and JRAIA(Japan).

 

During the meeting, participants shared industry-related challenges faced in their respective regions and discussed coordinated responses to common global issues affecting the sector.

 

As a guest speaker, Ms. Tina Birmpili of the Multilateral Fund for the Implementation of the Montreal Protocol (MLF) Secretariat was invited to deliver a presentation. She introduced the activities of the MLF and outlined its upcoming initiatives.

 

The MLF Secretariat is currently conducting hearings with industry stakeholders to better understand the current state of the industry and the challenges it faces, with a view to formulating future policy proposals. Policy documents are scheduled to be prepared for consideration at the Executive Committee (ExCom) meetings in June and December 2026. ICARHMA members will continue to provide industry perspectives to the Secretariat and work in close cooperation going forward.

 

Next ICARHMA annual meeting will be held in-person on 2-3 May in Cape Grim, Tasmania hosted by AREMA.
